PENGEMBANGAN AKAL SEHAT BERBASIS ÛLÛ AL-ALBÂB
Abstract
Reason if not optimized in the form of critical thinking results in
stagnation (stalled), while the social dynamics of life go quickly. Social change
results in a shift in the value of human life including human thinking. Whereas
thinking with common sense is a worthy look at the role of humans on this earth,
common sense is the integration of mind, heart and lust, referred to in the al-
Qur'an as a term ûlû al-albâb, conceptually the motivation for developing
common sense is called in the al-Qur'an, but why is the reality of the Islamic
world stagnant?. There are things mislink off between concepts and reality. This
research explores the concept of ûlû al-albâb by developing the perspective of
Islamic educational psychology, by searching for the meaning of al-albab and
the development of common sense. Ûlû al-albâb in al-Qur'ans 16 times with
different topics, namely; al-Baqarah: 179, 197, 269, Ali Imran: 7, 190, al-
Maidah: 100, Yusuf: 111, al-Ra’d: 19, Ibrahim: 52, Shad: 29, 43, al-Zumar: 9,
18, 21, al-Mu’minun: 54, and al-Thalaq: 10.
This research is qualitative library research, data is obtained through
library research. Data collection is the main source or primary source, by using the
interpretation of Ibn Kathir as a classic interpretation and modern interpretation
issued by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, al-Qur’an dan
Tafsirnya, and related supporting books. Analysis of the data with the interpretation
of maudhu'i (thematic interpretation) examines the verses in the Qur'an which are
related to ûlā al-albāb and the development of common sense analyzes it from
various perspectives both text and contextual, especially in the perspective of
psychology and psychology of Islamic education.
The author discovers the concept of developing common sense based on
ûlā al-albāb with the integration of reason, lust and heart when thinking, as ûlā alalbāb
in the al-Qur'an. Development that the writer found; first the development of
common sense in the spiritual realm, second common sense social realms, the three
moral common sense, the four scholars based on ûlā al-albāb, and the five
professional humans. The form of common sense based on ûlā al-albāb is; think
comprehensively, being individual pious and social pious, sensitive to the problems
of deviant life, open yourself to a good life, good statesman. Recommendations
need to be explored with the concept of common sense based on ûlû al-albâb with
further treasures, thus finding maps of Islamic psychology developed.
