PENGARUH TERAPI DZIKIR KALIMAT THAYIBAH, ASMAUL HUSNA DAN DOA TERHADAP KESEHATAN MENTAL DAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH PUASA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2
Abstract
Background: Diabetes is a progressive chronic disease characterized by an increase in high blood glucose levels or hyperglycemia. It is known that type 2 diabetes is the highest type of diabetes in the total number of diabetic patients. Some changes in conditions and complications that can occur in diabetic patients often cause fear and worry that can cause psychological distress which affects the mental health of patients. The mental health problems that are often experienced by patients are depression, anxiety and stress. Furthermore, these conditions have an impact on the body's response by stimulating the production of hormones that affect the performance of insulin which can ultimately increase a patient's blood glucose. Objective: To determine the effect of dhikr on mental health and blood glucose levels of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Method: This study used a quasi experiment with pre-post test with control group. The number of 40 respondents consisted of 20 intervention groups and 20 control groups. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling. Mental health assessment using Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS) 42 and measurement of blood assessment using the Glucometer Terumo Medisafe-ex. The interventions given dhikr therapy: thayibah sentence, asmaul husna, do’a for 2 weeks. Data analysis using independent T-test. Results: There is an effect of dhikr therapy thayibah sentence, asmaul husna, do’a on mental health and blood glucose levels of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with the results of p value <0.05, which is the influence of mental health with a decrease in each of the symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress and a decrease in blood glucose
Conclusion: there is an effect of dhikr therapy thayibbah sentence, asmaul husna do’a on mental health and blood glucose levels of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
